I admit I don't know how
I admit I don't know how to set up a scene. I have to blunder into it. Then I put in a few clumsy entries at a time; a process that can consume days. Then I revisit many times over. Finally, I accept what I've got written, if only provisionally. Chances are, the final revision and polishing efforts will be equally as frustrating. And you were wondering why I never seem to get a story finished, right?
